Lund University was founded in 1666 and is repeatedly ranked among the world’s top universities. The University has around 47 000 students and more than 8 800 staff based in Lund, Helsingborg and Malmö. We are united in our efforts to understand, explain and improve our world and the human condition.

Lund University welcomes applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We regard gender equality and diversity as a strength and an asset.

As a member of a forming team you will participate in developing and supporting scientific software projects for data analysis from a new generation light sources. You will challenge high data rates and large data volumes coming from them. Beside other team members you will work closely together with beamline scientists, MAX IV users, industry, HPC experts and with MAX IV partners from the Nordic academia and other large scale facilities.

In supporting data analysis from a wide range of scattering techniques you will learn new methods and master applications of the scientific software. You may also strengthen your competence in project management when coordinating software projects. As a member of the large KITS team you will develop your agile and team work skills and as a part of MAX IV you will cultivate the MAX IV scientific World.

You are not obliged to develop your own research program but you are strongly encouraged to keep and develop your project, collaborations and participate in experiments in MAX IV or other facilities in order to connect software experts and scientists.
