MAX IV provides world-class instruments and methods for studies of matter. Our users, being experts in their fields of research, need access to targeted education and training on the theory and practice of the experimental methods and techniques used at the state-of-the-art facilities at MAX IV. Well-prepared and educated scientific users are key to successful experiments leading to impactful science. During a normal year we have more than 1000 individual users and this will continue to grow. MicroMAX is a project to build and operate a beamline for (frontier) macromolecular crystallography, including serial crystallography, time-resolved experiments and micro-crystallography, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The project includes funding for an education and training initiative.
