The successful applicant will be part of the English division within section 4 of the Centre for Languages and Literature (SOL) at Lund University. This unit consists of around 20 active researchers, teaching staff and doctoral students in English literature and English language and linguistics, with various specialisations (www.sol.lu.se/en/subjects/engelska/research/). Courses and components intended for people studying other subjects than English may also be part of the position. Teaching amounts to a maximum of 70% of full-time employment for a senior lecturer at Lund University.

With regard to research, the successful applicant will be expected either to broaden our expertise in English literature or to further reinforce already strong areas. A senior lecturer at Lund University has at least 20% of full-time employment set aside for research. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with colleagues at the division and the Centre for Languages and Literature, and to take an active part in relevant seminars.

At the English division, we expect a strong presence in the workplace. The successful applicant will be expected to take part in meetings at the division and the section and to take an active part in the development and quality assurance of the subject across our activities.
