A competent computational scientist with some knowledge of bioinformatics and experience in computational analysis of genomic data and maintaining high-performance computing infrastructure is desired to assist in general research activities with department of oncology and pathology/Medicion Village.

The work assignments will include the maintainance, curation and annotation of gene mutation data from high-throughput breast cancer sequencing. In addition, the responsibilities will include maintaining the computational hardware and software to support all Group bioinformatics activities, as well as ordering and installing requisite parts and performing computer repairs.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline, graduate level coursework in bioinformatics; graduate level coursework in DNA sequencing informatics, graduate level coursework in a programming language.

The applicant is expected to have experience in cancer research, DNA och RNA sequencing analysis, R statistical language and experience in Python programming.

Experience in working in Projects and in Project optimization, experience in JavaScript language, experience in Linux, experience in HTML, excells in verbal and written English are considered as meritorious.
