The section of work- and environmental medicine are looking for a assistant researcher who will be an expert on GIS and population exposure to air pollution.

Work duties
Work in various research projects relating to the population exposure to air pollution related to public health. Knowledge of GIS in health studies is the core of the tasks. A large part of the work will involve contributing to GIS knowledge in various projects. Writing reports to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and scientific articles can also be central. Contribute knowledge and act as a link to a greater understanding of how GIS can be used in epidemiological air pollution studies.

Qualifications
Required education:

  • PhD within Occupational and Environmental Medicine preferably with focus on air pollution and exposure.

Required experiences and skills:

  • Good knowledge within GIS and GIS-models within areas concerning epidemiology and human exposure to environmental pollution with focus on air pollution.
  • Experience in running projects and writing articles and reports in both English and Swedish.
  • Good knowledge in Swedish and English.

Meritorious education:

  • A University degree with focus on geographical information systems.

Meritorious experiences and skills:

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge about exposure to air pollution both outdoor and indoor.
  • Previous experience in exposure studies and running national projects for Swedish authorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good social skills.
  • Pedagogical skills.
