Job duties

Research at the Clinical Memory Research Unit to evaluate and validate new imaging methods for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD). We will also as use imaging techniques to understand the pathogenesis of these disorders better. The successful applicant will be involved in projects investigating regional amyloid and tau pathology in AD, PD and in healthy aging using PET. More specifically, the research projects will focus on investigating how regional amyloid and tau PET data of the brain can provide early diagnostic markers for neurodegenerative diseases such as AD and PD. Further, the project will focus on different clinical variants of AD, as well as the effects of cognitive reserve.

Qualifications

The position requires a post doc period with focus on PET imaging in Alzheimer’s disease. Applicants must have a strong publication record and documented experience in research on PET imaging changes in the brain in aging and in neurodegenerative diseases. Broad knowledge of statistical data analysis is an advantage. Excellence in written and spoken English and ability to work independently are required. Personal suitability will also be considered.
