Job assignment
Design and development work for a proposed new experiment, LDMX, to search for Light Dark Matter in the sub-GeV area. Of special interest is optimization of calorimetry for hadronic and electromagnetic interacting particles at energies of a few GeV and lower. Some analysis and interpretation of data from the ATLAS experiment at the CERN LHC can also be included. The positions first months are at Lund University, after that at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Menlo Park, USA.
Entry requirements
Basis of Assessment
Ability to immediately start with analysis and interpretation of the data from the ATLAS experiment, and especially using reconstructed jets.
The overall assessment will also take into consideration any personal capabilities that are of value to carry out the duties of the position well.
