Job description

To independently perform research in cardiovascular biology
To manage projects and laboratory
To guide, coach and instruct doctoral students and technical personnel
To predict and plan for the future needs of the laboratory

Qualification requirements

Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or Cell biology
Extensive laboratory experience in molecular biology particularly using zebrafish, rat, mouse and human model systems.
Experience in Metabolomics, vascular biology and vascular diseases
Experience in general cell culture, isolation and culturing of primary cells particularly VSMCs, organ culture, functional assays such as apoptosis, proliferation, cytotoxic assays, project management, data analysis, writing of scientific manuscripts.
Experience in project and laboratory management, involving instructing, coaching, problem solving and support in scientific writing
To be a team-player with excellent interpersonal skills

Meriting requirements

Experience in animal experiments
Experience in assay development

The Faculty of Medicine is a part of Lund University, and is responsible for education and research within medicine and healthcare.
