Work duties

The primary responsibility for the lab assistant will be to manage the mouse colony, including planning of breeding, coordination of mouse shipments and genotyping. The lab assistant will also help with individual in vivo and in vitro experiments.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • The applicant has to hold a master's degree in molecular biology
  • The position requires FELASA certification and expertise in working with mice
  • The applicant must be familiar with ELISA, PCR, Western Blotting, immune-precipitation and the handling of cell lines
  • The applicant must have worked in a P2 infectious facility
  • The applicant must show high flexibility regarding work hours

Merits

  • The applicant has prior experience in teaching
  • The applicant speaks English fluently
  • Expertise in setting up macrophage or dendritic cell cultures from murine bone marrow is advantageous
