The division of Translational Cancer Research and the Research groupe led by Alexander Pietras seeking a assistant researcher who will run projects on Dlk1 in the development and progression of brain tumors.

Work duties
The successful candidate is expected to independently develop and run a research project relating to mapping of Dlk1 and its effect on tumor cells, in vitro and in vivo, with particular focus on brain tumor glioma. The service also involves certain supervision of doctoral students and students in the research group. Man will also be responsible for parts of the laboratory's daily care / routines, within the framework of the above project.

Qualifications
The applicant must have a PhD, and at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in cell and tumor biology. The candidate must also have a well documented (in terms of relevant publications in relevant journals) expertise and experience in molecular and cellular signaling, and in general tumor biology.

The applicant will furthermore need to have a extensive experience in working with mice in cancer research - especially the RCAS / TV-a system for brain tumor studies. The applicant needs expertise in the isolation and sustaining primary human and mouse cell cultures.

Particular emphasis will be placed on academic skills, especially demonstrated expertise in relevant methodologies and subject areas (see above).
