Temporary appointment for 6 months at the Department of Pediatrics, Institution of Clinical Sciences Lund.

Work duties:

Carry out animal experiments with EHEC (P3 class) bacteria and various interventional treatments. The main tasks are to perform in vivo experiments, genotype determination, bacterial cultures, microscopy and blood samples. The work is mostly carry out during the daytime, but the working hours can also encompass evenings, night time and weekends.

Qualifications:

Requirement:

  • Passing grade in FELASA laboratory animal course
  • Bachelor's degree or masters degree in molecular biology, biomedicine or equivalent
  • Experience working with in vivo models, mice and bacteria
  • Good knowledge of English in speaking and writing
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours

Extra merits:

  • Experience with microscopic work, histological assessment of tissues and laboratory work
