Work duties

Bioinformatic analysis of clinical, genetic and bioinformatics data in cancers to develop novel prediction and stratification methods.

Qualifications

Requirements

The candidate should have a PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics or a related discipline. Strong background in system biology, bioinformatics, databases and data analysis is required. Knowledge about relevant areas in biology and medicine (molecular biology, structural biology, biochemistry, genetics etc) would be beneficial.

Furthermore, the successful candidate should have experience within some of the following areas:

  • Simulations and systems biology
  • Experience with data structures, databases, and data architectures
  • Knowledge of biomedical resources and infrastructures, especially in cancer
  • Competences within medical statistics and statistical programming, preferably in R
  • Expertise working in Unix/Linux environments
  • Excellent skills in oral presentation and good writing skills in English
