Work duties
The main duties of this position as research engineer is to conduct and support research withing the projects “recovery of plant proteins for novel food products” and “sustainable food process engineering”. Teaching may also be included, but up to no more than 20% of working hours. The position shall include the opportunity for three weeks of training in higher education teaching and learning. Workduties include the following:

  • Data management
  • Laboratory work in food chemistry, technology, and microbiology
  • Development of methods
  • Co-ordinating and executing pilot-scale trials
  • Teaching in the first, second cycles of studies
  • Collaboration with industry and wider society
  • Assisting in procurement of equipment necessary to carry-out the project
  • Administration related to the work duties listed above
Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD in Food or Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or similar, or BSc with industrial experience.
  • Experience in setting up/performing analysis such as (protein content, water content, etc.)
  • Good oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Good oral and written proficiency in Swedish.
  • Driver’s license (type B).

Other merits

  • Experience in working on the pilot scale in food processes
  • Experience in the use of analytical instruments.
