The division of Clinical Genetics and the research group led by David Gisselsson-Nord is looking for a biomedical analyst to work as an expert on DNA preparation from clinical material for large-scale sequencing.

Work duties
You will work with DNA extraction from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor tissue and frozen tumor tissue. Quality control and quantification of this material. Library preparation for large-scale and deep targeted massive parallel sequencing of DNA extracted from formalin fixed paraffin embedded tumor tissue. DNA preparation for microarray analysis from formalin fixed paraffin embedded tumor tissue

You will also participate in other common tasks in the lab. 

Qualifications
We are looking for a person educated as a biomedical analysis or the equivalent foreign qualifications. In addition, we seethat you have experience of the following in order to be relevant to the service:

  • DNA extraction from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor tissue and frozen tumor tissue.
  • Quality control and quantification of this material.
  • Library preparation for large-scale and deep targeted massive parallel sequencing of DNA extracted from formalin fixed paraffin embedded tumor tissue
  • DNA preparation for microarray analysis from formalin fixed paraffin embedded tumor tissue

We see it as an advantage if you have the following in addition to the requirements for the service:

  • An academic degree of B.Sc. or higher in genetics.
  • Knowledge in basic analysis of tumor genetic data
