Duties

Mainly research but work duties include teaching for up to a maximum of 20 percent of working hours as well as cooperation with wider society.

The researchers and teachers at the Faculty are expected to contribute to a dynamic research environment as well as to other Faculty activities, and to perform work primarily in the workplace provided by the Faculty.

 

Subject description

One post-doctoral position in economic law. 

Economic law relates to the study of public and private law, and concerns both the conduct of the state (or states) in relation to economic relationships and issues and the conduct of private parties involved in economic and business transactions. Economic law encompasses a wide range of topics, for example, labour law, company law, tax and finance law, commercial law, trade law, investment law, competition law and law and economics. The post-doctoral position covers the study of economic law at national level and/or international level (including regional law, such WTO law and European law).  

Specific attention will be paid to post-doctoral research projects including a Swedish and/or Nordic perspective.

Qualifications

A person shall be qualified for appointment as a postdoctoral fellow who has been awarded a doctor’s degree in legal science or a degree deemed equivalent to a doctor’s degree in legal science. The doctor´s degree must be completed no more than three years prior to the application deadline. 

Candidates who have completed their degree earlier than this can be considered if special grounds exist. Special grounds include leave of absence beacause of illness, parental leave, positions as elected representatives in trade union organisations and other similar circumstances.

 

Assessment criteria

The assessment criteria for the current post are a good ability to develop and carry out research av god kvalitet as well as teaching skills. The primary focus of the assessment shall be on research expertise.

Attention will also be paid to applicant´s subject knowledge of economic law.

Duration

Fixed-term employment, two years. The appointment can be extended if special grounds exist.

 

Conditions

The position is based on a collective agreement between the social partners (trade unions and employer's organisation) dated 4 September 2008. 

Salary is determined on an individual basis, within certain guidelines for this type of position. Please indicate a salary request in your application.
