Background
ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System, https://www.icos-ri.eu/) is a European research infrastructure providing scientific data on carbon cycle and greenhouse gas budget. ICOS Carbon Portal (https://www.icos-cp.eu/) is the data center of ICOS, and is hosted by Lund University at the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science (http://www.nateko.lu.se/). In parallel to providing web services for archival and dissemination of  ICOS data, including upload, storage, long-term preservation, search, visualization, and download, Carbon Portal is also concerned with ensuring that ICOS research data management conforms to the FAIR principles.

Job Assignment
ICOS Carbon Portal at Lund University is looking for a project officer for analysis and development of environmental data services. You will work in the ENVRI-FAIR project (ENVironmental Research Infrastructures building Fair services Accessible for society, Innovation and Research; H2020, 2019-2022). In this project, 13 European Research Infrastructures (RIs) work together to apply the FAIR principles (https://www.force11.org/group/fairgroup/fairprinciples) to their data services.

ICOS Carbon Portal at Lund University is leading the implementation work package, where you will work with the project partners to analyse the current FAIRness level of their services, determine the gaps and select the common development targets to close the gaps. The work package will build an overall catalogue of the FAIR services of the RIs and design the guidelines for testing and validating the final ENVRI-FAIR services. In the end these guidelines will be applied to lead to a synthesis of the readiness of the ENVRI-FAIR services for the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
