Work duties:

As a successful candidate, you will undertake a range of analytical tasks related to the GAME Unit’s core research objectives, including data cleaning, pre-processing and analysis, as well as interpretation and visualisation of results. These analytical tasks will be focused on multi-omics data, aiming to identify biological markers that help define individual susceptibility and resilience to diabetogenic lifestyle exposures.

Qualifications:

You have a master's degree in Public Health (or equivalent), along with an academic background in advanced mathematics and computer science. You must also have a very good knowledge in programming and computational statistics and be fluent in R, as well as in working in a Unix-based shell environment. You need to be highly versatile and willing to take on diverse analytical challenges across the major projects within which the GAME Unit engages; as required, you will provide support to other members of the GAME Unit. Excellent writing skills are required, and you will be expected to write-up their research findings for publication in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. For time to time, the successful candidate will assist in drafting grant applications.

You will work under the primary supervision of Prof. Paul Franks and physically located at Lund University Diabetes Centre in Malmö, within the GAME Unit’s workspace, from where the you will be expected to work predominantly.
