Project: Pre-clinical validation of stem cell derived DA neurons that will subsequently be used in a clinical trial.

Work tasks

The tasks include:

- establishing pre-clinical in vivo models

- cell transplantation

- behavioral assessment

- histology and microscopy

Qualifications

- The applicant must have a PhD in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, stem cell biology, neurobiology, or equivalent.

- Experience with in vitro an in vivo models at PhD and postgraduate level

- Documented experience with work on pluripotent stem cells

- Experience with generation and use of viral vectors

- Documented experience with gene expression analysis

- Ability to work well in collaborative projects

Experience with work with stereotactic surgery, microscopy and histology, cloning and genetic modification of stem cells is a merit.
