The Department of Experimental Medical Science, the Mucosal Immunology Group, is looking for a Project assistant for a temporary employment, 100 %, during the time period 2019-09-01 - 2020-01-31.

Work tasks

The position is to support one of our projects assessing the role of dendritic cells in type 1 and regulatory immune responses in the intestine. The successful candidate will use state of the art transgenic animal models, to assess intestinal T cell functions in the intestine and in vitro models to look at dendritic cell priming and activation of T cells.

Requirements

The successful  applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Biomedicine with a focus on immunology, evidence of a strong education in the field of immunology, considerable experience in isolating and assessing the function of T cells from the intestine and intestinal draining lymph nodes of mice, experience in multicolor flow cytomnetry, experience in T cell adoptive transfer models, experience in the isolation of dendritic cells from intestinal lymph nodes and in vitro T cell/dendritic cell cultures. The ability to communicate in English is a must.

Merits

An advanced understanding of the English language. Knowledge of flow cytomnetry programs such as FlowJO, good written skills, an ability to work with others on common goals and Projects.
