Lund University is currently seeking a Junior Communications Officer within the Division of External Relations. The role is to support the International Marketing and Recruitment team in promoting Lund University and recruiting international students.
TASKS
The position involves managing and producing consistent and high quality follow-up communication to leads and prospective international students after events and meetings in our target countries. The role also includes general lead management and conversion of prospective international students who are in contact with the University through email, study portals and social media. The Junior Communications Officer will support the marketing managers in converting leads and prospects to applicants and admitted students with the implementation of regional-specific communication throughout the recruitment cycle. The goal of this role is to ensure a smooth application and admission process for prospective international students through consistent and helpful communication throughout the recruitment, admissions and enrolment cycle.
In this role, you will work closely with the marketing managers, as well as with the admissions office and the faculties and programme coordinators to ensure that the communication is correct and up to date and to keep everyone informed throughout the communication cycle. You need to be able to work independently as well as provide support and liaise closely with the team.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
Experience in working with e-mail marketing, lead management or in a customer support role. Experience in working professionally with social media is also desirable. Excellent writing skills and an eye for detail are essential. As communication within this team is in English, you must be fluent in both spoken and written English. The successful candidate is expected to have a relevant degree (e.g. marketing, communications, digital media) or equivalent experience. The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of marketing towards external target groups. It is desirable to have experience in international marketing.
