Post doc - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Our group is a co-applicant to a large project grant from SSF where the staff needed to carry out the work includes a post-doctoral researcher to be placed in our team. We are now initiating the process for the recruitment of this person.

Work responsibilities

The applicant will work on thick tissue clearing methods for whole embryo, tissue, organ imaging in samples obtained from experimental animals or human post-mortem specimens obtained from brain banks. S/he will work closely with our collaborators who have designed a custom-built imaging system and will be involved from initial sample preparation, to actual image acquisition and processing steps as well as steps needed to develop the animal models that will be used as input to the imaging work flow.

Qualifications

Must: (1) PhD degree in experimental medical science or related area; (2) Documented experience in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases

Other merits: (1) Undergraduate degree in Engineering; (2) documented experience in animal models of Parkinson’s disease; (3) documented experience in microscopy

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an employment as a postdoctoral researcher, the PhD degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a PhD in the field of employment, must be completed no more than three years before the end of the application period. If there are special reasons, the PhD may have been completed earlier.

Terms

The employment is limited to a maximum of two years employment and refers to full-time. The employment is limited by agreement, "Agreement on time-limited employment as postdoctor", between social partners dated 2008-09-04 (Arbetsgivarverket, OFRs, Saco-S and SEKO).
