Job assignments

The research will be focused on the analysis and design of parallel methods in the context of high order space discretizations with implicit time integration for unsteady compressible flows. The aim is to design scalable, fast and efficient methods for the next generation of solvers for Large Eddy Simulations (LES). This will be in collaboration with other groups in Sweden, Germany and the US.

Teaching duties in numerical analysis of up to 20% can be included in the job assignment.

Eligibility/Entry Requirements

The candidate must have a PhD in Numerical Analysis or similar. 

The candidate must have demonstrable expertise in high order discretizations for Partial Differential Equations, computational Fluid Dynamics and implicit time integration. Knowledge of coupled problems is a merit.

The candidate must have good programming skills in Fortran or C++ and demonstrable experience with parallel implementation of numerical methods for PDEs.

The candidate should have good communication and collaboration skills and an interest in interdisciplinary work.
