Work duties
The focus of the research will primarily be on smart thermal networks and district heating systems. Analysis and development of digital services for improved system benefit and sustainable energy solutions.

Teaching at basic and advanced level mainly refers to the courses Energy supply, Energy use, Energy and the environment in sustainable development, Energy markets, Advanced energy management, District heating and district cooling, and to supervision of degree projects in the field of energy management and planning. Language of instruction in these courses is Swedish.

Qualification requirements
Appointment to researcher requires that the applicant has:
• A PhD or corresponding research competence or professional expertise considered important with regard to the subject matter of the post and the work duties it will involve.
• Very good oral and written proficiency in Swedish
• Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish / Nordic electricity and heat market
• Practical experience in the field of district heating technology and district heating distribution

Other qualifications
• A good national and international standing as a researcher. The requirement for international experience shall be assessed with consideration to the character and traditions of the subject.
• An ability to supervise doctoral students to achieve a PhD.
• An ability to collaborate with wider society and communicate his or her activities.
• A good general ability to lead and develop activities.

Consideration will also be given to ability to cooperate, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research, education and innovation within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.

Terms of employment
Fixed-term employment, during maximum two years, 100 %.
