We require an expert in human hematopoietic cell development to assess questions related to rare somatic mutations affecting hematopoiesis. The project is a collaboration with Prof Jörg Cammenga Linköping University Sweden.
Work duties and areas of responsibility
To manage numerous human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell lines derived from patients for use in various studies with Lund University collaborators. To differentiate the iPS cell lines towards hematopoietic lineages. Assess the function of the iPS derived hematopoietic cells in various haematological assays such as FACS, CFU, lymphoid differentiation systems etc.
Requirements
PhD in medicine, preferably within the field of pluripotent stem cell differentiation towards hematopoietic cells or similar, is needed for this position. Previous post doc experience is required. The post doc experience should include working independently and managing project in pluripotent stem cell laboratory.
Expertise in pluripotent stem cell biology and human hematopoietic development. Verified ability to culture and maintain human pluripotent stem cells. Verified knowledge of hematopoietic development and ability to differentiate human iPS cell towards hematopoietic lineages. Verified knowledge of and experience with standard assays of hematopoiesis including CFU, FACS, and LTC-IC. Verification is based on authorship on publications in internationally recognized specialized scientific journals.
