A research engineer position is available for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in host-pathogen interactions or infectious diseases to join a collaborative project between a team of research groups studying generation of protective immunity against Group A Streptococcus (GAS). Projects will focus mainly on using murine models to study GAS infection, with focus on identifying adaptive immune mechanisms involved in the generation of protective immunity against this pathogen.
The employment is a temporary position, 100 %, for 13 months (2019-11-01 - 2020-12-31).
Work tasks
Research including experimental work, data analyses, literature studies and verbal and written scientific communication. Main experimental methods include, but are not limited to, in vivo mouse models, immunchemical analyses, flow cytometry, cloning and protein purification.
Qualifications
Requirements
Applicants should hold a PhD degree and have strong laboratory and analytical skills. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have prior experience in in vivo animal models of infectious diseases or host-pathogen interactions, in particular with relation to analysis of immune responses (cellular and/or antibody mediated) generated during infection.
