Resarch concerning fundamental basic physical and chemical phenomena of plasma as well as how plasma can be used in industrial processes (preferably to make processes more environmentally friendly) is carried out at the Division of Combustion Physics. We are developing new diagnostic tools where lasers and optical methods are used to study various plasma-relevant parameters, such as for example electron temperature, electron density, species concentrations, etc.
