Work duties

This position will entail the definition, measurement and analysis of accessibility from several different perspectives.

One aspect of the work will require the conceptualisation, assessment and analysis of a base level of accessibility to key activities. A third aspect will involve the incorporation of different methods to assess the meaning of changes in accessibility, when investments (and divestments) have been made in the public transport infrastructure.

The research involves both quantitative and qualitative analysis, combining traditional methods of analysis with newer methods that allow for the engagement of users’ (and non-users’) perceptions and experiences in the analysis.
