Postdoctor in infection biology - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

An exciting post-doctoral position blending infection biology, cell biology, genomics and bioinformatics is available in the Svanborg group at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Glycobiology, Lund University. The lab has an international working environment full of excellent scientists and offer great opportunities to develop your career. The position is a full time position which is time limited to two years, with start in november or in accordance with agreement.

Work duties and areas of responsibility

The postdoctoral researcher will design and perform experiments, interpret data and prepare publications for peer-review. He or she will work individually and in a team and proactively propose and test project relevant ideas.  

Entry Requirements

Required to be hired as a Postdoctor are those who have completed a doctoral degree, or a foreign degree that is reviewed to correspond to a doctorate degree, within the subject area of ​​the employment and which was completed no more than three years before the end of the application period. If there are special reasons, the doctoral degree may have been passed earlier.

Requirements

• This position requires a Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology or related areas.
• Experience in bioinformatics, genomics and transcriptomic technologies.  
• The candidate should possess good oral and written communication skills in English.
• She or he should be able to mentor junior group members.

The candidate is expected to be motivated and a great emphasis is on personal suitability.

Desirable

• Good publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• A medical background would be an advantage.
