The doctoral student will be working within the research project The cortical hierarchy of native phonological proficiency, financed by The Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg foundation.The relevant part of the project is a survey of how the structure and function of the human brain is related to phonetic and pnological processing. Swedish and norwegian word accents will be an integral part of the work.

För denna anställning krävs, förutom behörighet för utbildning på forskarnivå i neurolingvistik, också dokumenterad kunskap i fonetik, svenska eller norska och neurolingvistisk metod.

For this position the applicant must also be able to display knowledge in phonetics and Swedish or Norwegian, as well as neurolinguistic method.

Assessment basis

The selection process will primarily take into account the applicants’ ability to benefit from third cycle studies. This is assessed from the criteria quality, quantity, progression and relevance.

The application must include:

  • records of first- and second-cycle studies (Ladok transcript or other transcript of courses and grades)
  • first- and second-cycle theses/degree projects
  • a list of other relevant administrative and educational qualifications
  • scholarly journal articles, reports or papers of relevance for the subject
  • where applicable, documented skills in a language of relevance for the research studies
  • project proposal (1500 words max. excluding references)
