This temporary position until 2021-12-23 and part-time 25 %, is part of a research project, The LANG-TRACK-APP, funded by the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation. Principal investigators are Jonas Granfeldt and Marianne Gullberg.

Duties
The tasks include the development of a platform independent smart phone application to be used in a research project to collect data on language input. The application will function as a research instrument where a participant will be regularly prompted via push-notifications to register self-reported data by answering sets of simple questions. The duties include the planning, developing, testing, and maintenance of the application itself and the organisation of incoming data, with particular attention to secure treatment of potentially sensitive data. The work is done in close collaboration with a senior developer, and the researchers in the project. Duties may also include presenting the application (in speech and writing) in scientific contexts in English or Swedish.

Necessary qualifications 
The applicant

- must have documented experience of developing applications for iOS and for Android.

- must have documented problem solving skills.

- must be cooperative and enjoy team work.

- must be able to communicate well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

- should have a completed post-secondary education in a relevant area for the position.

 

Flexibility and pedagogical skills are welcome since the work requires collaboration with users at different levels of knowledge. Since the applicant will work with research and research data, we seek a meticulous and conscientious person.
