Researcher in speciation genomics
A 6-month position as researcher working with genome annotation, analysis of whole genome resequencing data and expression data is available. The aim is to address how variation in coding genetic divergence and regulation of expression relate to adaptive divergence. The position will be supervised by Anna Runemark within the research group on the evolutionary ecology of plant-insect interactions https://www.biology.lu.se/research/research-groups/evolutionary-ecology-of-plant-insect-interactions , Department of Biology, Lund University.

For appointments to a researcher position, the following shall form the assessment criteria:

  • A good ability to develop and conduct high quality research.
  • A solid track record of bioinformatic analysis in an evolutionary genomics context.
  • Experience with teaching bioinformatics.

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.
