The research at the division of Solid State Physics is focused around different aspects of nanophysics, ranging from materials science to biophysics, to different applications. The division also leads NanoLund, the major interdisciplinary research environment within nanoscience and nanotechnology at Lund University. Lund Nano Lab is a central key facility for fabrication of material and devices on the nanoscale. The division is also heavily involved in the undergraduate education, especially within the “Engineering Nanoscience” program. The last 2 decades, our research within the area of one-dimensional semiconductor structures, so called nanowires, has been at the international forefront. We are now announcing a temporary position as research engineer, in a project closely related to a newly started company. The work duties are to develop the wire growth process to achieve the desired materials with high optical quality, in collaboration with the other researchers. Among the tasks are:
The work is performed in close collaboration between University and company.
