We are looking for a researcher with a solid background in transport planning and analysis with great interest in accessibility analysis on a macro level scale. We foresee a person who is interested in trying out alternative methods and proposing innovative theories aimed at further developing the research field. The researcher will work in a new K2-project.

Work duties
This research position is intended to address interlinkages between transport, land-use planning and implications for vulnerable and marginalized groups. The expected approach is quantitative, requiring knowledge in transport modelling, accessibility analysis, GIS and open data sources. The theoretical framework should contain transport economics (traditional as well as alternative, justice-oriented approaches) and transport equity analytics.

Qualification requirements
Applicants must have:
A PhD within the subject of the position. Very good oral and written proficiency in English. Basic proficiency in Swedish.
Assessment criteria and other qualifications
Experience of and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, as well as experience from grant application writing, targeting Swedish funding agencies.
Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.
Terms of employment
Fixed-term employment, 12 months, (100%).
