Researcher in mathematics with specialisation in number theory - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Job assignments
Research in number theory focused on Diophantine geometry. The chosen candidate is also expected to actively contribute to the seminar in algebra and number theory. Some teaching and supervision of bachelor’s and/or master’s students is also included in the position.

Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:

• PhD degree in mathematics
• Postdoctoral work experience
• Research experience at a high international level within Diophantine geometry
• Experience of teaching courses in number theory at the master’s level
• Experience of supervising bachelor’s or master’s theses
• Very good oral and written proficiency in English

In addition, experience of organizing research seminars and conferences is a merit.

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.

Type of employment
Full-time, fixed-term employment of a maximum of 1 year.
