Lund University is currently seeking a Junior Marketing Officer within the Division of External Relations. The role is to support the International Marketing and Recruitment team in promoting Lund University and recruiting international students

Tasks

The position involves implementing and coordinating Unibuddy, a digital platform allowing leads, applicants and admitted students to connect and communicate with current students at Lund University. This role will require you to work closely with all the faculties, as well as international students from all over the world. You will also be required to work with region-specific analysis for key markets, e.g. planning and managing focus groups, and presenting thorough cultural analysis to the marketing managers, with the main goal to increase cultural knowledge and improve targeted communication efforts throughout the application process. Another important task for this role will be to investigate digital marketing tools and platforms that could improve the overall student recruitment and conversion process. The Junior Marketing Officer will also provide general support the marketing managers throughout the entire recruitment cycle.

In this role, you will work close with the marketing managers, as well as with the faculties, programme coordinators and current students. You need to be able to work independently as well as provide support and liaise closely with the team.

Skills and experience

You should have experience in working with intercultural communication and digital marketing. Experience working professionally with student communication is also required. Excellent writing skills and an eye for detail are essential. As communication within this team is in English, you must be fluent in both spoken and written English. The successful candidate is expected to have a relevant university degree (e.g. marketing, communication, and digital media) or equivalent work experience. It is desirable to have experience in international marketing within the higher education sector.
