The research group

Rheumatology research is part of the activities within the research group Internal Medicine and Epidemiology.  This research has for several years been at the cutting edge in the area of clinical and epidemiologic aspects of chronic arthritides. The rheumatology part of the group is led by Professor Carl Turesson, and located in connection with the rheumatology outpatient clinic in Malmö. Activities include editorial work with an international scientific journal, The Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology, for which Carl Turesson is the Editor-in-Chief.

We are now looking for a meticulous Project administrator for fulltime permanent position. Starting date is 1st of September 2020, or as per agreement. A probationary period may be applicable.

Job description

As a Project administrator you will work with compilation of research reports and manuscript from the research group, and with editorial work for The Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology, including management of submitted manuscripts and advertisements. You will also work with management of research data from registers and clinical studies, and with administrative tasks such as planning of research project, including collaboration with the health care organization in Region Skåne. In addition, there may be other work assignments within the research group.

Qualifications

The following are required for the position:

  • Documented administrative skills from a research environment or from health care, including planning and written documentation
  • Good knowledge on organizations and procedures in Swedish health care, based on education or previous work experience.
  • Very good knowledge in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Very good knowledge in English, both spoken and written

The following personal characteristics are considered to be of major importance for the position. We are looking for a meticulous person who understands the importance of details and has good organizational skills. It is important that you have a good ability to collaborate with coworkers from different cultural and professional backgrounds, and that you are able to work independently with a data platform (work with the Journal is mainly conducted using the data platform Scholar One Manuscript Central).

The following are considered to be a merit:

  • Experience from work with clinical administration or research administration in rheumatology
