The research group
In the research group for Cell reprogramming in hematopoiesis and immunity, research is conducted to understand the molecular determinants underlying cellular reprogramming and hematopoietic specification. Research has been at the forefront in this area for several years. The group is led by Professor Filipe Pereira and consists of both research and technical staff. We are hereby seeking a driven research engineer to work with the group on reprogramming of cells, hematopoiesis and developing immunotherapeutic strategies for cells and genes. The employment is permanent of 100% with the desired date of admission on 1 of July or by agreement.

Work duties and areas of responsibility
The position contains work on the development of a novel direct reprogramming strategy of fibroblasts into effector T cells. The goal is to provide a novel T cell source for CAR-T cell generation. The successful candidate will be performing molecular cloning, lentiviral productions, mice colony management, isolation of mouse embryonic fibroblasts and general laboratory organization and administration.

Qualifications
The following is required for the position:

  • A MSc degree in Biochemistry, biomedicine or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of molecular cloning techniques.
  • Knowledge of lentiviral particle generation.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in Swedish.

Emphasis is put on personal suitability. The work duties require the ability to communicate well and the ability to work well both independantly and together with a group. 


The following is desirable for the position:

  • Experience with mice colony maintenance and breeding.
  • Experience in laboratory organization and management.
