The research group

The Laboratory for Bone Marrow Stem Cells and Cellular Therapies at the Division of Molecular Hematology looking for an Assistant Researcher for completion of the the project “Investigating extracellular vesicles from transplantation patients and as possible MDR markers in acute lymphoblastic leukemia”.

We are hereby seeking an associate researcher with excellent background and experience in molecular biology, cell biology and immunology. The mastery of advanced techniques such as acoustic trapping, FACS analysis and sorting, advanced molecular techniques, MSC isolation, culture and characterization techniques in vitro as well as in vivo are required. The employment is limited to three months at 100% with the desired date of access on July 1 or by agreement. 

Work duties and area of expertise

The work duties of the associate researcher are as follows:

  • Performance of laboratory work linked to the project.
  • Writing of articles and publications.
  • Execution of method development within the project.
  • Participation in the teaching of master students in the lab.
  • Execution of some administrative tasks.

The position also involves working with laboratory animals. Other existing tasks within the research group may also be relevant.

Qualifications

The position requires:

  • A doctorate in biology, molecular biology, medical technology or a related field.
  • Due to the high scientific and technical requirements of this research, at least 5 years of laboratory experience in molecular biology, cell biology and immunology are required.
  • Knowledge and documented experience in the field of acoustic trapping techniques.

Great emphasis is placed on personal fitness. The assignments require that you have a good communication ability as well as the ability to work both independently and in a group.

Eligibility for the position is:

  • Previous experience in stem cell and microvesicle research, such as mesenchymal stromal stem cell and bone marrow stem cell work.
  • Documented publishing experience in the field.
