The Department of Clinical Sciences Lund is one of six departments at the Faculty of Medicine. Clinical Sciences Lund cooperates closely with Skåne University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine in order to optimize the conditions for preclinical and clinical translational research, research strategies and development, as well as education on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Research group

Our research group is intrigued by how we can utilize the setting of normal embryonic nervous system development to understand tumor initiation. We have a highly transdisciplinary approach, merging the worlds of developmental and cancer biology. We are physically located at Medicon Village in Lund as part of the newly established Lund University Cancer Center (LUCC).

We are hereby adverstising for the position of a laboratory assistant. The position is 25 % of full time and a temporary position 2020-09-01 until 2021-05-31 or according to agreement.

Work assignments

The employee will mainly carry out practical work in the laboratory and take active part in group meetings.

Qualification requirements

  • BSc Molecular Biology, Biomedical Genetics or equivalent
  • The applicant should have practical experience with chick embryos, PCR, western blot, cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry, cell culture and microdissections
  • The candidate will work in a team with common goals but at the same time needs to be independent
  • The candidate should be fluent in English
