The Department of Political Science announces an employment as a project assistant in the project PUSHPEACE (funded by Riksbankens jubileumsfond). The most important tasks include collecting data from the peace processes in Colombia, Israel /Palestine and Northern Ireland, as well as reviewing data already collected in the same area (within PUSHPEACE). The work also involves assisting in reference management and daily activities within the project's work.

The position requires a capacity for independent, accurate and systematic empirical work. General curiosity and good ability to work with qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo are also important.
Good knowledge of the field of peace and conflict research is required. Excellent English is as well as previous experience with qualitative data software is a requirement. As the project works with the cases Colombia, Israel-Palestine and Northern Ireland, it is a plus if the applicant has a good knowledge of Spanish, Hebrew and / or Arabic. A degree in Political Science and / or Peace and Conflict Science is required, or equivalent skills.
