Web Editor and Marketing Officer

Lund University is currently seeking a Web Editor and Marketing Officer within the Division of External Relations. The role is to support the International Marketing and Recruitment team in promoting Lund University and recruiting international students.

Duties

The position mainly involves being the web editor for the pages on Lund University’s international website, www.lunduniversity.lu.se that are targeted at international students. The web editor will be responsible for maintaining the pages, developing new content and working in close collaboration with the main editor and other web editors on the website. The position also includes creating and coordinating digital campaigns (mainly Google Adwords and study portals), creating promotional content and landing pages, as well as coordinating other related digital marketing activities. In addition to the web editor role, a smaller part of the position includes other administrative tasks within the team, such as internal communication and managing webinars and/or other digital activities. As a part of the marketing of the University and the study programmes, you will also work closely with faculties and programme coordinators to ensure programme information is accurate and consistent in the University’s education database and elsewhere on the website. You may also need to produce student and alumni testimonials and other content for the programme webpages. You need to be able to work independently as well as provide support and liaise closely with the team.

Skills and experience

Experience in web editing and digital communication is necessary for this position as well as experience in designing and producing online marketing content. A good knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is also desired. Excellent writing skills and an eye for detail are essential. As communication within this team is in English, you must be fluent in both spoken and written English. Swedish is used for internal communication and therefore, you also need to be able to speak and write in Swedish unhindered. The successful candidate is expected to have a relevant degree (e.g. marketing, communications, digital media) or equivalent experience. The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of marketing towards external target groups. It is desirable to have experience in international marketing and an understanding of the higher education context. Knowledge of Drupal (CMS), Google Analytics and Google Adwords is an advantage.
