The project deals with the desinfection of fruit and vegetables packed under modified atmosphere. The product will be treated with plasma and consequences for the quality and shelf life will be evaluated.

Work duties The work duties include:

  • Optimize plasma parameters.
  • Perform plasma treatment on selected, packed fruits and vegetables.
  • Evaluate the quality and shelf life of the treated and untreated products.

Qualifications The project assistant must have:

  • Master degree in food science.
  • Experience working with packaging and/or evaluating the quality of fruit and vegetables is desirable.
  • Experience with application of cold plasma technologies is a plus

Other merits The project assistant should work with independence and excellent communication skills in English, as the project will be carried out in collaboration with partners in Italy.

Terms of employment Temporary employment, 100 %, during 3 months with start as soon as possible.Travelling to the city of Cesena in Italy is part of the project. We follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
