The division of Mathematics LTH and Numerical Analysis at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering invites applications for a position as Associate senior lecturer in mathematics within the area of partial differential equations.

Subject description
The research area shall be analysis of partial differential equations with a specialization in at least one of the following areas.
Variational methods for modelling superconductivity in magnetic fields with discontinuities.
Analysis of evolution equations with applications in thin film modelling and electromagnetics, especially studies of nonlinear and nonlocal dispersive equations.
Control problems for partial differential equations on unbounded domains and analysis on manifolds.
In the application, it should clearly be described how the applicant’s scientific output relates to the aforementioned research areas, and how the planned research of the applicant will develop these areas at the division.
Work duties
Employment as an associate senior lecturer is a career development position and aims for the holder to develop their independence as a researcher and educator. The work duties mainly involve research but also teaching.

The position shall include the opportunity for five weeks of training in higher education teaching and learning.
Qualification requirements
Appointment to associate senior lecturer requires that the applicant has a PhD, or acquired corresponding research expertise. Priority should be given to applicants who have completed their degree or acquired the corresponding expertise no more than five years before the last date for applications.

Terms of employment
