The position concerns managing multiple research projects, with a focus on how the use of agricultural landscape and forest affects conservation of biodiversity, production of ecosystem services and the sustainability of agriculture and forestry. The project coordinator will work directly under the research group leader to coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects. This will include the development of project plans, monitoring progress, facilitate exchange of information between teams, organizing project meeting, coordinate field work, perform risk analyses, manage collected data, oversee accounting, and support the writing of project reports and applications. The project coordinator will also foster interactions with students, stakeholders and the general public. Other tasks related to the successful conduction of research may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A PhD in ecology or environmental science is required.
  • The candidate should have proven ability in scientific writing e.g. in the form of scientific papers and reports in English and Swedish.
  • A driving license is required.

Meriting

  • Strong merits are experience in working with issues relating to landscape ecology or food webs in agricultural ecosystems, as well as ecosystem services or biodiversity.
  • Experience of project management is a merit.

The successful candidate should be able to work independently, to work with multiple tasks and prioritize to meet critical deadlines, and to communicate with scientists and stakeholders in English and Swedish.
