We seek an individual to coordinate and manage project activities and grant management support at the Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS). The responsibilities will include working with multiple international academic institutions.Thecoordinatorwillwork directly with the director of LUCSUS. The applicant should have proven experience and competencies coordinating multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced academic environment. Furthermore,the applicant should have demonstrated experience in research and academic publishing focused on sustainability and/or loss and damage from  climate change issues with an advanced academic degree (preferablyPhD) as well as experience in working with senior management and in policy. In addition , the individual will have experience of supporting development of large grants and development of databases and knowledge of AI and big data /quantification is a desirable. Academic English fluency is essential; Swedish language skills is also a plus.

Main tasks

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Maintain ongoing dialog with and support for research projects with LUCSUS director
  • Coordinate meetings, seminars and workshops within projects
  • Support the management of networks, including local and collaborative projects
  • Support research database and tracking emerging work on Loss and Damage
  • Support research activities and help coordinate publishing processes, including background rresearch activities, research planning, progress tracking, document editing, research grant preparation, as well as drafting of policy briefs and reports 
  • Assist LUCSUS director with annual grant planning and monitoring
  • Assist LUCSUS director with university research assessment planning and delivery
