Lund University is currently seeking a Junior Marketing Officer within the Division of External Relations. The role is to support the International Marketing and Recruitment team in promoting Lund University and recruiting international students mainly through digital marketing and student ambassadors.

TASKS

The Junior Marketing Officer will work on creating video content and other digital marketing content within the International Marketing and Recruitment Team. The goal of this role is to advance international student recruitment activities by identifying, implementing and managing digital marketing tools and activities. The position involves further implementing and continuously improving the University’s Unibuddy platform, allowing prospective students to connect with Lund University staff and current students via chat and livestream events. An important task when working with Unibuddy is to each year recruit, train and oversee a large group of student ambassadors from a wide range of countries and degree programmes. The role also includes implementing, improving and managing the Lund University virtual tour via YouVisit, enabling anyone to visit the university virtually at any time.

In this role, you will work closely with the other team members and faculty staff. You need to be able to work independently as well as provide support and liaise closely with the team.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

As this is a junior position we believe that you are at the start of your career but with at least 2 years of professional experience, and are now looking for an exciting and challenging job in an international environment.

The successful candidate is expected to have a relevant degree preferably at a Master’s level (e.g. marketing, communications, digital media, cultural analysis) or equivalent experience.

The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of marketing towards external target groups in general and to prospective students specifically, in an international context.

As communication within the team is in English, you must be fluent in both spoken and written English.

Excellent writing and presentation skills and an eye for detail are essential.

Experience in working professionally with digital marketing tools in a higher education setting is desirable.

Experience in working with ambassadors’ programmes or the equivalent is desirable.

Experience in online advertising and video editing is desirable.
