The Division of Water Resources Engineering (DWRE) is the largest division, in terms of the number of employees, at the Department of Building and Environmental Technology in the Faculty of Engineering (LTH). DWRE conducts research, teaching, and consultancy with focus on water in society and nature. DWRE has a long tradition to work with partners both in the private and public sector within in the areas of hydrology and hydraulics emphasizing modeling and forecasts to be used in water resources planning, water supply, as well as for flooding and sediment transport.
Work duties
The candidate will work with local scour in rivers, with special focus on the lower reaches of Rönne å in the municipality of Ängelholm, where a number of scour holes have been detected. The work includes processing and analysis of bathymetric data as well as simulation of the flow in the river. Certain focus will also be put on the flooding conditions in Rönne å, including the effects of upstream river flow and downstream sea level. The observations and results from the studies in Rönne å may be used for comparative investigations in other rivers.

Terms of employment
