International Marketing Manager

Lund University is currently seeking an International Marketing Manager within the Division of External Relations. The role is within the International Marketing and Recruitment team and focused on hands-on work promoting Lund University and actively recruiting international students to our English-taught programmes.

Duties

The position mainly involves communicating with prospective international students from first enquiry through enrolment, and developing, implementing and evaluating a portfolio of marketing/communication strategies targeted at recruiting students from specific countries / regions, in conjunction with a calendar of offline and online marketing/recruitment activities for each admissions cycle. High quality and personable communication directly with applicants via email, CRM system and through digital and physical events is central to this role.

Conducting webinars and/or other digital activities. Attending exhibitions, undertaking institutional visits, etc. taking responsibility for the logistical planning around these events in the areas of travel, accommodation and shipping, as required. Coordinating faculty and staff involved in student recruitment activities.

Contributing to development and implementation of channel-focused recruitment strategies. Providing informed input into branding, and the design and content of marketing materials, including social media content.  Analysing and evaluating these strategies and materials.

Providing timely feedback and relevant intelligence on regions of responsibility. Providing regular market feedback to the IMR team including quantitative data on applicants in defined regions/countries of responsibility.

Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. This may also includes evaluating, initiating, developing and maintaining relationships with educational representatives in the region of responsibility.

Maintaining up-to-date information on Lund University’s programme offering, the admission requirements down to the programme level, and the national guidelines for admission, including specific national rules and guidance for countries in your portfolio.

Maintaining up-to-date information on the HE sector and relevant scholarship schemes in regions/countries of responsibility.

Skills and experience

Experience of working in student recruitment environment for a minimum of 4 - 6 years, in roles where providing ethical and accurate study advice to students and parents is the main priority.  As communication within this team and externally is in English, you must be fluent in both spoken and written English. Excellent English writing skills and an eye for detail are essential. The ability to communicate confidently and clearly to a wide range of audiences via a variety of media is required.  The successful candidate should have a university degree. The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of marketing towards external target groups and the identification and development of new markets and opportunities. It is desireable that the candidate have experience in international marketing in general and with the development of new online and offline recruitment campaigns. It is desirable to have an understanding of the higher education context including an understanding of different education systems world-wide. Deep knowledge of a specific region is an advantage.

You are able and willing to travel alone and for extended periods, if and when required.
