Research group

Diagnostic radiology, ITM, Malmö conducts research related to clinical imaging. LUCI (Lund University breast Cancer Imaging) is an interdisciplinary research group within the department that conducts research that mainly focuses on innovative imaging modalities, methods in breast cancer diagnostics, with a special focus on screening and artificial intelligence. The department and LUCI are led by Professor Sophia Zackrisson and consist of researchers and technical staff with different education and backgrounds who provide a broad competence in the field. The group is under strong development with many doctoral students and postdocs, in close collaboration with medical radiation physics. We are located at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) in Malmö.

The development of image analysis in the diagnostic field goes from manual review to a more advanced computer analysis and also AI. There is therefore a need to strengthen the group translationally into the technical field with a corresponding technically oriented research position in X-ray diagnostics that can be held by a physicist or engineer with this competence.

We are hereby recruiting a researcher for a permanent position to work full time. The selected candidate is planned to start in mid-August. A probationary period might be applied.
