Duties
The position will entail teaching, supervision and assessment at Bachelor’s and Master’s level on the psychology programme within educational psychology and with a particular focus on schools and student health. The teaching may also include assignments such as course management, course development and course administration. Teaching may also be needed in other subject areas, for example general psychology and professional issues.

The position will also involve work on the psychology programme providing complementary training for psychologists with a foreign degree. The teaching is conducted in Swedish and English. The majority of the teaching and assessments will be conducted in Swedish, meaning strong written and oral proficiency in a Scandinavian language are a requirement. The duties also include research and dissemination of research findings, and participation in the department’s work to generate external research funding, as well as promotion of the department’s infrastructure and educational development work.

Qualifications
Those qualified for appointment as a senior lecturer are individuals who have been awarded a PhD in psychology, have demonstrated teaching expertise, have completed at least five weeks of training in higher education teaching and learning or have acquired the equivalent knowledge.

If there are special circumstances, some of the training in higher education teaching and learning may be conducted during the first year of employment. For appointment, the individual must have a documented ability to teach in Swedish/other Scandinavian languages and English.

Assessment criteria
When shortlisting qualified applicants, equal importance will be placed upon research and teaching expertise. Administrative skills are also deemed important for the position.

When assessing research expertise, particular weight will be accorded to research activity (scope/academic quality), the ability to initiate and independently conduct research, the ability to obtain funding for research in national competition, and a demonstrable capacity for interaction, both within the scientific community and wider society.

The applicant’s teaching expertise is to be well documented. When assessing the applicant’s teaching expertise, emphasis will be placed on the quality of teaching. Its scope, breadth and depth will also to be taken into account. With respect to specialisation, teaching experience within vocational programmes, including teaching in schools and student health environments, is particularly desirable. Experience and teaching expertise related to digital and hybrid-based teaching formats are also particularly desirable. In addition, the applicant’s documented ability to plan, initiate, manage and develop teaching, as well as the ability to link the teaching to research, will be considered. Teaching expertise includes a documented ability to contribute to work involving the development of higher education teaching and learning and quality of education.

As the duties involve teaching and assessment within the framework of the psychology programme, the applicant’s qualifications in terms of professional skills and experiences of applied psychology work in school environments, including student health, will form the basis of assessment.

Administrative skills are demonstrated through the ability to plan, develop and manage courses, and the ability to cooperate in both teaching and research. Administrative skills are important for the position and will be considered in the assessment. Personal traits such as thoroughness, ability to take personal responsibility and ability to cooperate are considered important in order to perform the duties well.

Significant personal circumstances (e.g. parental leave) should be reported among the applicant’s qualifications and experiences.

Application
The application is to be submitted electronically to the Lund University e-recruitment portal. The application can be written in Swedish or English, and should be designed according to "Instructions for applications for academic posts and promotion" at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Applicants shall indicate in their list of publication the maximum 10 publications to which they principally wish to refer. These publications shall be attached to the application.
